Christoph Manschristoph-mans
Dr. med. vet., DACZM

Christoph Mans is a native of Germany and received his veterinary degree from the University of Leipzig (Germany). He completed an internship in Avian and Exotic Animal Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College (Canada) followed by employment in private practice in Hong Kong. He then completed a 3-year residency in zoological medicine at the University of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee County Zoo and became a Diplomate of the American College of Zoological Medicine (ACZM) in 2014. He is currently a clinical assistant professor of zoological medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine.


Kurt K. Sladkykksladky
MS, DVM, DACZM, DECZM

Kurt Sladky received his MS (Psychology: Animal Behavior) and DVM from the University of Wisconsin and completed a Residency in Zoological Medicine at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Zoological Medicine and the European College of Zoological Medicine (Herpetology) and is currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Zoological Medicine and Section Head of the Special Species Health Service at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine.

DVM, DACZM

Dr. Doss completed his veterinary training at the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, followed by an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2017, he completed a zoological medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary medicine, where he is now a faculty member in the special species department.

Lily Parkinson graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Biochemistry followed by a DVM from the same institution. She then completed a small animal rotating internship at North Carolina State University. She is now a third-year Zoological Medicine Resident at the University of Wisconsin, International Crane Foundation, and Milwaukee County Zoo.

dr-martel-2-2Anna Martel – Arquette DVM

Dr. Anna Martel-Arquette received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida in 1999. She practiced in multiple areas of physical therapy for 11 years before pursuing a career in exotic animal medicine. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. After spending a year in an Avian and Exotics rotation at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, TX, she returned to the University and is now a second-year resident in zoological companion animal medicine.

Taylor Yaw DVM

Dr. Yaw graduated from the University of Nebraska with a B.S. in Animal Science followed by a DVM from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He then completed a zoo and exotic internship at Iowa State University followed by an internship in aquatic animal medicine at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. He is now a second-year Zoological Medicine Resident at the University of Wisconsin, International Crane Foundation, and Milwaukee County Zoo.

CVT

Charisma Chadwick graduated from UW-Madison in 2000 with a B.S. in Animal Science. She then earned her CVT degree in 2011. She currently works at University of Wisconsin Veterinary Care as a Veterinary Technician in the Zoological Medicine Department. She has a strong background and interest in avian health and behavior.

Dr. Radkey graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 and did her rotating internship at Iowa State University thereafter. She is currently finishing the 3rd and final year of her residency UW in anesthesia and pain management. Her areas of interest within her specialty include local and regional anesthetic techniques, pain assessment, and management of chronic pain.


Molly AllenMolly Allen DVM

Dr. Allen is a third-year resident in Anesthesiology and Pain Management at UW-Madison SVM. She obtained her DVM from Tufts University in 2012, then spent 3 years as an equine general practitioner and anesthetist in Australia prior to residency. She enjoys all aspects of anesthesia and pain management, but is especially interested in local anesthetic techniques. After residency she will be working in private practice in Milwaukee.


Kevin-SnyderKevin Snyder DVM

Dr. Snyder graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BA. Following undergrad, he worked in healthcare IT before attending UW-Madison for veterinary school. Following veterinary school, he completed a small animal rotating internship in medicine and surgery at Colorado State University. He has now returned to UW-Madison, where he is completing a four-year Comparative Ophthalmology residency combined with a Masters of Science.
