Rabbit and Rodent Dentistry Lab

Sunday, April 5th|  8:00-12:00 pm, 1:00-5:00 pm

This lab will provide the opportunity to gain extensive hands-on experience and an in-depth understanding of dentistry in pet rabbits and rodents. Using cadavers of rabbits and various rodent species, lab participants will become confident with the use of the specific equipment needed to perform complete intraoral examinations. Important clinical techniques will be practiced, including coronal height reduction and restoration of occlusal surfaces, incisor and cheek teeth extraction.

Preparation: wear scrubs and meet in room 2259 for a pre-lab lecture. Lab in the Clinical Skills center. Student volunteers will assist attendees to locate the lab.

Maximum participants allowed: 12 per session
