Avian Anesthesia Lab

This lab will utilize a number of bird species in order to practice premedication, anesthetic induction and maintenance. Participants will learn about the basics of avian anatomy and physiology as they relate to anesthesia and can apply these concepts to clinical practice. Participants will practice intubation, anesthesia monitoring, and supportive care.

Preparation: Scrubs, watch with a second hand, and stethoscope recommended. Located in MD-1. Pre-lab lecture in room 2305.
